Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, two of the best singers of all time, are coming to my hometown, Las Vegas! I couldn't be more proud of them. Through the years, we have seen both of their careers have their highs and lows, but now, they are back on top and better than ever!
Glory Days
Mariah first entered the scene in 1990, with her self titled album. She skyrockted to fame, winning Grammys, getting number one hits, and touring the world. She had the voice of an angel! Britney's first album, Baby One More Time, released in 1999 made her a household name. She was an instant legend. All the girls wanted to dance, sing, and look like Britney.
Tough Times
In 2001, Mariah released the Glitter movie and album and both got negative reviews. In 2007, Britney shaved her head, hit the paparazzi car, with an umbrella. You know the story.
Back on Top
When Mariah Carey released The Emancipation of Mimi album, it was an instant number one! Mariah was back in the game. Britney was beautiful at the VMAS in 2008 and went home with her arms full of awards.
The Best is Yet to Come
So now, in 2015, with both of them over 30, and new girls on the scene, what's a girl to do? Give up? Convince herself that the prime is over? Move out of the way for the other girls? No way! Each one of them has the deal of a lifetime, headlining in Vegas, making more money than most people could ever dream of. In addition to rocking the house each and every night, these ladies also teach women everywhere an important life lesson. You can have more than one prime. Maybe you were beautiful,and successful when you were younger. Maybe things are harder now. But don't give up. You can be back on top again.
